200 Days Without a COVID-19 Case in Taiwan
According to CNN, it was reported that Taiwan underwent 200 days without a Covid-19 case while other climes are experiencing new waves of Covid-19. It appears that they are winning the battle against Covid-19. Wow, how were they able to achieve this feat?
It’s a result of great effort and fight, we too can achieve it and the whole world at large.
Self-hygiene with alert and social distancing is very effective in preventing the spread of this epidemic.
Taiwan had an outbreak of SARS in 2003. The lessons learned from this outbreak helped Taiwan a great deal in getting covid-19 under control.
The strict respect of rules, social distance may be the key. The country is not as large as European countries so it is easier to control the whole country to respect rules .another factor is they had learned lessons during the outbreak of SARS in 2003
They observed preventive protocols strictly. They learnt their lesson from SARS outbreak which caused many deaths.
The Taiwan has prepared to handle this kind of pandemic since the outbreak of SARS and MERS in 2002 and 2012. During the COVID-19 pandemic they take actions that was prepared based on the situation during SARS and MERS outbreak. They start tracing, do mass testing, and sterilization of the country. Furthermore, they have done a great job in educating their citizen on the best way to self-prevent the infection and the spread of the virus.
Politically, Taiwan demonstrates to the world that a democratic China proves to be more innovative than the Communist China. And this of course angered the Chinese Communist Party.
It’s great for the Taiwanese, let other nations copy from Taiwan.
Its amazing that they can achieve such a result – perhaps Donald needs to have a chat with them to see how they have done it – that’ll upset the Chinese!!
I hope Donald will consult the Taiwanese after the elections – if he manages to snatch it at the last moment.
Yes he definitely needs to David – its the only way forward for the US
Other countries should copy, what it has done and be transferred to other countries.
Countries should share learnings from Taiwan.
I think their government is a little sincere about the COVID-19 pandemic .
does anyone know exactly what Taiwan has done to control COVID? Did they close their borders? It would be interesting to know.
The continents of Africa and Taiwan are not so badly hit by covid 19. Something the world can learn from these two places.
Ahmad has said it all. They were more prepared than any other nations due to their experience with SARS years ago.
Looking at the info Edward and Taiwan had a plan in place for years, which involved quarantines, contact tracing and wide availability of masks, among other things. Considering they are a reasonable size at nearly 24 million citizens Taiwan has had only 451 cases and seven deaths!!
Its really a good new for them. It might be the result of a great work and effort of their leaders, and the pass experience of the SARS outbreak in 2003
I think Taiwan is trying to except themselves from the lies of other leaders of the world.
God has blessed them and took them out of all those lies and pandemic problem.
Do You See the Power of God. I’m sure some Evils person are ready to bring covi19 over there if they get an opportunity to do so.
The world is making marchandized of COVID-19 problems. The government of Taiwan wants to be exception, that was why the release such info the public.
Taiwan following very strict 14 day quarantine on people entering the country. Another reason is Taiwan’s people follow the required rules very strictly . Taiwan got no locally transmitted Covid 19 cases for more then 200 days.
So nice to hear some good news lets hope Taiwan stays Covid-19 free and that no new cases pop up.
The number of cases in Taiwan is now up to 603 but the umber of deaths is still at 7 – they really are controlling it well
Currently total cases are at 759 and new cases registered 2 while 7 people have only died. The country is doing great work to stop transmission rate, other countries should learn from its policies for success.
Really is that so in Taiwan
