Yes, they say their vaccine is 90% effective. After this important announcement, I expected Pfizer’s stock price to jump up dramatically, but it didn’t. Isn’t it strange?

Ahmad Khasan replied 3 months ago

Yes, it is very strange. The CEO of Pfizer also sold $5.6 millions worth of stocks right before the announcement of the vaccine.

Indeed Pfizer has this development and that it’s 90% effective which is good news to the whole world. But I guess it might take time to reach every part of the globe mostly 3rd world countries.

On the other hand, it’s still too early to celebrate because, even if this development has been announced, it may take sometime for enough dozes to be made available for whole world population I guess! Then, the logistics for delivery part might complicate the situation also.

Leno, the vaccine must be accessible if your government order it. However, the decision of government over which vaccine to buy is different among countries. What about the situation in your country? In Indonesia, the government buy Sinovac, COVID-19 from China, currently the government is performing clinical trial to check whether the vaccine is effective for Indonesians.

The covid19 vaccine is available in many countries, the problem is the efficiency of the vaccine and the accessibility to poor people who can’t afford it.

Ahmad Khasan answered 4 weeks ago

Each government should perform a clinical trial to test the efficacy of the vaccine, Leno. Also, several governments provide the vaccine for free to those who can’t afford to pay for the vaccine. At least, that is what happens in Indonesia. What about your country, Leno?
