Are the Lower Time-Frames of Any Use When Trading?

Like most traders I have tried loads of strategies across varying TF’s from 1min to Monthly. In recent times I have been following the LuckScout way of trading the higher time-frames to try an obtain more certainty in my trades. Are the lower TF’s, and in that I mean under 1H, of any use of should we delete them off our platforms? Does anyone trade a strategy that uses them?

Vahid, you have done some great articles covering this topic and I think that has what has steered me the most towards the higher timeframes in recent times and has contributed to my more consistently profitable balance sheet

I normally use the higher TFs  but sometimes I’ll pick an odd 4hr trade. The lower TFs are used by day traders and scalpers.

I don’t think it’s advisable to trade on lower time frame. I will have to spend more time on your computer and even with any profit. When I started trading I was a fan of lower time frame because I thought I could make lot of money in short time ; trust me I couldn’t make even one Penny only loses and loses. Then I tried with higher time frames a mean from 1 hour,2hours ,daily to 1 months,i realize that it was more profitable and I don’t need to spend more time on the chart .

It still depends on the technique and strategy used by traders . Some day traders only use daily candlesticks. Some of them only use hourly chart. With strict money management day traders still can make profit .. maybe less compared to big time frame traders .

Generally find th timeframe that works for your trading style and strategy. Everyone is different and see’s different things. Also some people want to trade every day and others are happy with once a month.

Lower timeframes under 1 hr are too noisy and choppy. It is very difficult to find good set ups using them
