🎄 Christmas Is Coming

I understand that there are people of many faiths that are members of this club and I really respect that and there are also people that have no particular religious belief and I respect that as well.
The Christian season of Christmas is well and truly on its way and to Christians around the world this is a really important time on the calendar and is  as important as Easter. How do you celebrate Christmas if you celebrate it at all? What are your Christmas traditions?

Respecting each other regardless of religion, nationality, and any other differences are the best part of being a Luckscout member. This is an important and happy period for Christians all over the world, including in Indonesia. I wish you and your family a happy time during this important period, Edward.

I celebrate Christmas with my extended family back home in village. Normally here in Africa particularly Uganda, when it time for Christmas, many people go back to their villages from towns to spend Christmas together. They attend church service in big numbers. This is the period for church also to reap big from parishioners who have been away for a long time. After church people go back home to feast on a variety of food that they prepare for Christmas.

Ahmad Khasan answered 2 months ago

Jackson — The way you and your family celebrate Christmas is exactly the same with the way my family and I celebrates Idul Fitri each year. It is the moment where we gather with our extended family. And of course, they prepare a variety of foods and snacks. This is the greatest moment in each year.

I wish you and your family a happy time, Jackson.

It’s one of the happiest moment in my family. We celebrate it together with my family, close friends and any others person who wants to join us. We prepare meals, wine to enjoy our time together.

Gareth White answered 2 months ago

Obviously not being religious we take a different stance on Christmas and just see it as a time for the family to get together and spend quality time catching up, playing games and relaxing.

Leno Jean Pierre answered 2 months ago

For us it is a period when Jesus Christ was born. It’s an adorable moment for Christians.

Gareth White answered 2 months ago

Great to hear how you celebrate it.

Ahmad Khasan answered 2 months ago

Gareth — I see that you enjoy the family moment during Christmast although you are not a religious person. You are not sound like an average atheist to me Gareth.

Shane Collins answered 2 months ago

We put up the Christmas tree every year spending the day with family members and having a fantastic meal enjoying each others company.

Christmas will be very different this year. Not a normal year so no normal Christmas for everyone. Christmas is one of the most widely celebrated holidays in Malaysia. I am not celebrating Christmas but I know a bit about Christmas traditions. Glorious food, visit family, friends and firework!
Merry Christmas in advance for everyone who celebrate it.

Ahmad Khasan answered 1 month ago

Gareth — I think so. Are you really an atheist or only dissatisfied with the way religion explains and treats God?

Kenneth Ogbonnaya answered 1 month ago

I will celebrate my Christmas with my extended family here in Lagos Nigeria. We will go on recreation in amusement park.

But this time of the year really does bring hope.I want everyone here at  luck scout to be happy and to enjoy this beautiful time of the year.May Christmas 2020 bring you all wealth and success.

We normally celebrate Christmas together as an extended family hosted in turn by individual members. On the day itself, delicious meals and drinks are served and there is a lot of fun and merrymaking. Hopefully the coronavirus won’t dampen our spirits as we will be following safety measures.

Jackson Mugarura answered 1 month ago

We have been advised not to travel to the villages for Christmas due to the surge in Covid19 infections in our city. Therefore, there’s no marry making this year with our extended families in Uganda.

Gareth White answered 1 month ago

Hi Ahmad, yeah hard to put my finger on it really. I have never bought into the explanations and to be honest never really bothered looking in to it anymore than that. I am a here and now person. Not bothered about an afterlife just want to try and make the most of this life.

Leno Jean Pierre answered 1 month ago

This year I’m going to celebrate Christmas in Morocco, far from my family. They will mess me, buti will celebrate it with friends and closest persons as well as my brothers in Christ.

Ahmad Khasan answered 1 month ago

Hi Gareth, you sure come to your conclusion. But let me ask you one thing, do you really not bothered with the afterlife?

Leno Jean Pierre answered 1 month ago

Great time to share freinds, families and brothers in Christ .its also a time for prayers for the coming of Christ of Nazareth.

Jackson Mugarura answered 1 month ago

It’s time for merry making but I guess this time it may not be the usual one because of Covid19 most people will restrict their movements.

adharad answered 1 month ago

Hey, 6 days of Christmas coming. I can feel the joy of Christmas now. This year’s Christmas is very different. The pandemic ruins all the happiness to come. But don’t take away your Christmas happiness. May your Christmas this year be the most beautiful gift in your life. You can also feel the joy next year.

Leno Jean Pierre answered 1 month ago

Yes, from 24th to 25th December, we will be celebrating Christmas. It’s a great enjoyememt and funny time to me and my family. Happy Christmas for everybody.

Jackson Mugarura answered 1 month ago

It’s now more close around the corner but we shall not celebrate with the whole family. Covid19 is peaking this side, we don’t want to risk our lives and put other people’s lives in danger.

adharad answered 1 month ago
