Curfew for Fighting the Corona Pandemic

The governments all over the world use several types of restrictions and tools to fight the corona virus and the pandemic.  All these tools and restrictions have an negative impact on our daily lives.
It is several types of restrictions called tools to prevent the corona virus from spreading.  Such restrictions can be to keep children home from school combined with homeschool on the net.  Many places they also have closed the universities for psychical education.  Education take place on the net.  Closing of restaurants and bars, restrictions in visiting people or have visits in your own home.  Sports arenas, cinemas, opera, culture houses, gyms, swimming halls are closed.  Sports events goes without spectators. The list is long and affects us all.  The most far reaching measure the governments have imposed is a curfew for a limited time between evening and morning.  What is your opinion about a curfew like a tool fighting the corona pandemic?

It is unfortunate but it is probably required to stop the spread of the virus. Many people around the world are dying and it is not just elderly people that are dying and hospitals in the UK and the US are full to the brim and there does not appear to be an end in sight. If people do not mingle then the risk of the virus traveling through the community.
It is extremely unfortunate and yes the restrictions are hard and they appear harsh but what would we rather people dying of a virus or we all go through a little pain and hopefully science is able to find a vaccine that will wipe it out.

In my opinion the curfew is further away to stop the spread of covid19 virus. There must strict restrictions and people should absolutely respect it in order to improve our life in short period of time.
This limited time will not solve the problem in my opinion.

Curfew can never fight or solve the problem of pandemic in the world. They should make available of the vaccines in the whole world

Hi, Mr Steinar.

We are entering a new lockdown period here in Indonesia. Yes, the government imposed a curfew to stop the spread of this pandemic. It is a big blow to business such as restaurants, cafes, and movie cinema. Currently, that business should close at 8 pm. In a normal time, they close at 10-12 pm.

Yesterday, there are 11k new cases in Indonesia, and the number keeps going up. I hope that every measure that the government is taking will end this pandemic, especially the vaccination program.

The problem is not from the government, people should understand that without their help government will not solve the problem at all. He have to respect the new rule that the government put in place to diminish the spread of covid19 virus.

In Morocco here we have curfew from 9:00 pm to 5:00am .i wonder how this will stop the spread of the virus after being in contact with people all throughout the day.

Agreed Mr Leno this virus affects us at all hours therefor deeming the curfew pointless in my opinion.

Being in the UK it is still clear that there is still a large group of people who think they are immune to covid and just don’t care about anyone else. We are still hitting 45,000 + new cases each day and averaging over 1000 deaths per day. Its going to take a while to get the vaccine rolled out and with so many already in hospital I can see it will go over the 100k deaths in the next month or so. Stricter rules and curfews would have helped but I fear its to late for the UK. Hopefully other countries will act now

Hi, Gareth. It has been a while to hear from you.

Are you still being in a lockdown now? Has the vaccination started in the UK?

Curfew can not stop the existing covid 19 pandemic, the government should free people lives.

I agree with you and do not see the point in curfew. This virus affects us at ALL HOURS and thus I feel the curfew is pointless in my opinion.

Closing restaurants, bars, beaches, schools, universities and churches are all good ways to stop or prohibit social gatherings and that in my opinion will stop the spread of covid-19 well not really stop either but just pro long the inevitable. Closing these things affect our economy and have taken livelihoods away and created much more job loss however we need it to stop the spread of this deadly virus but I feel the curfew is ridiculous. In some ways the curfew is making me feel like a child again and I do not see the point what is the curfew actually stopping and or doing. The virus affects us at all times and not just in curfew hours I mean really I do not see the logic. I feel strict rules on gathering which there are is necessary and then of course attention to personal hygiene. Wash your hands, wear your mask, keep your distance from others these things will help prevent the spread of covid-19 not a curfew.

How can economy survive with the lock down and curfew. Here in Nigeria, the curfew the federal government impose is just an avenue for police and other force to exploit people,it cannot and will never bring solutions to the problem of COVID-19.
