Yes I did hear in the media that the virus has mutated here in Australia. I also heard (not sure how credible) that the virus may mutate to be milder than it was originally.

More findings by different departments of health should be done for more confirmation

Yes COVID 19 has mutated further and will continue to do so as its adapts to the changing environment. The longer it survives the more time it has to evolve into a hardier virus making it even harder to kill. With the end result being in order to kill it the vaccine will probably need to be more potent resulting in the patient potentially becoming very ill from what is supposed to be the cure!!
Dont forget this is COVID 19 – we have been lucky so far with the 18 strains that preceded it. No 20 may be even worse though!!

Yes the corona virus is mutating. However, to the extent of what has been in the latest research, the mutation has not cause a new symptoms for those infected. But the mutation increase the infection rate of the virus.

Mutations are taking place all the time, but so far no indication that these are causing resistance to antibody treatments. The known variants are also not causing any observed changes in symptoms.

Jackson Mugarura replied 3 months ago

Thanks David for your comment of substance . True, we need to know, if the virus has mutated, does resist the same treatment?

COVID-19 being a virus created in laboratory, must have new symptoms as it is reviewed and modified by it creator must have a different symptoms .

Jackson Mugarura replied 3 months ago

Mutating may not necessarily mean that symptoms have also changed.

I don’t think symptoms can change when the virus is still the same 😔

Now that we are moving into Flu season in the UK it is going make it even more difficult for people to distinguish between a heavy cold and COVID. This could make the UK and a lot of Northern Europe vulnerable.
