🎤Has a Song Ever Hijacked Your Brain?
Listening to a song repeatedly for a considerable amount of time will have an impact on your mind.
Repeating the song will impress your brain with the melody and lyrics of that song.
Even, you will feel that the song keep playing on your brain when you physically stop listening to that song.
In that case, the song has hijacked your brain.
I have experienced it in my life. Especially when I found a song that I like and keep listening to it day and night. When I woke up, the first thing I heard in my mind is that song.
After that, I stop listening to a song repeatedly because I think that it is not good to let a song take over my brain.
What about you?
On of the song that has hijacked my brain during the lock down was a song of the South African that make all the planet happy while listening it.
The song’s name is “Jerusalema “
I personally love music, but i have not reached that level of a song hijacking my brain.
Oh yes a song has “hijacked” my brain once there was a time when almost every South African listened to this one song “Adriaanes” sung by an Afrikaans singer “Biggy”. Almost every second car had windows down blearing that song and of course it did get stuck in my head I can even to this day recall the verses “Adriaanes se my wat jou naam is my naam is Andriaanes en die neighbors gaan dit weet as ek met jou klaar is”
Unfortunately I can not say it is one of my favorites I just think it was a little over done for me but who ever does enjoy that song great for you it just really works on my nerves now a days like I said above it was just a bit overplayed in my opinion.
I know if I listen to a particular music for very long time, then, it will keep on popping out of my mouth to sing it.
I really like music. Several kinds of songs affect my brain. I am always reminded of the music, the lyrics and even I often sing it any time.
Most of the time, i sink Christian songs in my heart, they provide me peace , happiness and love of God.
Achy Breaky Heart by Billy Ray Cyrus many years ago. Not so much today as I listen to many genres.
Almost all the time I listen to music because it’s my hobby. I listen to many genres and from international singers or Indonesian singers
Hi, Leno.
I can see that you are a good Christian. Of course, Christian songs will easily echo in your heart and mind, because you sing it often. I think it is not only hijacked your brain. It has enters your heart.
Hi, Eli & Jackson
Many people love music just for entertainment and have no strong preference over a genre or singer. It makes them love more kind of songs and reduce the listening frequency of a particular song. It seems that you two belong to this group.
Hi, Shane.
So you have experienced it too. The main reason a song “hijacked” a person’s brain is that it is overplayed. In your case, I try to find that song Adriaanes , but I found Biggy – Dames instead. Since the song is not in English, I cannot find whether it is the right song or not.
Hi, Edward.
I found the song on Youtube. It has been viewed 75 million times. It must be very popular.
I remember listening a song repeatly several times on YouTube, i was very excited to hear the song.(You are alpha and omega) you can find it on YouTube.
