🌋Have You Ever Climbed a Mountain, and How Do You Feel?
I once climbed a volcano called Ebulobo volcano to the top near the crater hole at an altitude of about 2,150 meters above sea level. Being at the top of a volcano while looking at the scenery around and near the crater smoldering red creates a variety of feelings: intense fear due to fear of a sudden eruption or fear of being swept up by strong winds entering the crater hole; awesome and astonishing to see the vast, boundless scenery below which is so beautiful. My heart feels mixed between wanting to step down quickly and wanting to stay on the top of the volcano enjoying the freedom and happiness of seeing the vast, infinite and very beautiful scenery around the volcano. Have you ever climbed a mountain, and how do you feel?.
I have climbed Mount Kinabalu located in Sabah. It is 4095 meters above the sea level and highest peak in Southeast Asia. Its was a two day one night hike. On top, the sunrise was so magnificent and stunning. The air at top mountain was so windy and cold. The view from there was amazing. It was a very memorable trip for me.
I used to climb mountains when i was at the village, but they were not high but it was in the profound forest where we may found big snakes.A quiet, deep forest where you can find many kind of animals and plants species .very scary.
So far, I have never climbed a mountain. I prefer to go to the beach or other tourist spots that don’t require the effort to climb. What motivates you to climb mountains? What did you feel when you made it to the top?
I have been to mount Semeru in East Java, Indonesia. However, I was only half-way at the time. After that experience, I will never go back to the mountain again. I can’t cope with the cold, and I feel that mountain climbing is not a good place to spend my holiday.
I have climbed small hills but, no matter it’s an experience worth venturing into.
Hi Jackson, I think your experience of climbing the hill has been impressive.
Adharad. Yes of course it’s a great one, but I guess it’s much more impressive to climb a mountain. I have not climbed any but hope to in future.
Jackson, I also hope to climb mountains in the future. So far, I can only go to the beach for tourism purposes to nature.
I climbed to the top of Mt Kosciuszko here in Australia and it was a very easy climb and once I got to the top the view was fantastic.
Appreciate that it is not as tall as others around the world and it is a relatively easy walk as you catch a chair lift most of the way up.
I’m trying to google the mountain you’re climbing, Edward. I think the mountain is very beautiful. I became interested in going there. Hopefully in the future I can go to Australia
Yes, I have climed the mountain, and I feel elevated and joyful when being there.
I google for Mt Kosciuszko and find that it is only 2228 meters. It is less than the average of a regular mountain in Indonesia. But, when I see the picture, the top of the mountain was covered with snow. How can that be? Considering the altitude is only 2228 meters.
Mountain climbing is a very good sport for loosing weight. If you’re near the mountain and want to loose weight, you can try it,You will see an immediate results.
Mountain climbing is good for losing weight. But it is not for everyone. Also, you can perform a simpler exercise if you intend to lose weight and keep your body healthy. The key is to that exercise regularly and consistently.
Hi, Leno. I think it makes sense to lose weight. Climbing a mountain requires very strong energy to get to the top.
Am from hills of Kigezi in Kabale district ,Uganda, we plant and dig in hills some can go to all most 3000 metres above sea level. For me it’s normal to climb a mountain.
If you climb up the mountain and reach the top then look at the bottom, you will be very afraid.i like climbing mountains and Rock, it is a good sport.
Hi, Eli. I have seen the Kigezi Hills where you live. I thought it was a great place. Hills are the main attraction. I think it has cold weather there, is my guess right?
I have claimed a high mountain before, but i di it with small mountain that are near to my village in a big forest were we went to find fire wood for our parents. It seems to be scareful when you reach the highest point of the mountain and look at the bottom.
