How Has covid19 Pandemic Affected You in Your Life?
At the onset of the year 2020, everyone had a different idea of what they wanted to achieve in the year. I guess like many people do, we set our targets at the beginning of the year. People had their different targets for the year, others wanted to travel, on vacations, holidays, business, name them.
But, all of a sudden, covid19 broke out and subsequently, most governments shut down economies, put strict restrictions on travel, movements, and all sorts of gatherings. This, they did to curb down the spread of the virus definitely.
These restrictions came with very strong implications. People’s daily lives were greatly affected negatively due to those restrictions. Airplanes were grounded and people couldn’t, sports activities cancelled world over, worker’s made redundant and others later were laid off, many businesses closedown, in one way or another everything was affected the way it used to be.
Me, I had plans to travel abroad for business, which I abandoned up to now?
How had this covid19 pandemic affected you in your life?
Covid19 has terribly affected me in my life. It makes me feel bad, scared, stressful. Seen people dying every single minute across the world made me feel unhappy and unconfortable.infact I lost my job, my friends, family members.
Jeankomaro, it’s really terrible, only God has the answer.!
I worked at a state-funded university, mostly doing research. I can tell that the pandemic has little effect on my job. But it slows down the overall process of research administration. A project that should start in May was delayed until October. But as I said, the overall effect is not too significant.
Restriction of movement and no flow of income during the lockdown
I must say I’m lucky covid-19 didn’t affect my job that much. Taking precautionary measures, restrictions in activities and the inaccessibility of some essential goods were a bit of an inconvenience. But the main issue was the passing of people I know. They would still be with us if covid-19 did not break out. Seeing friends and family members losing their jobs was heartbreaking indeed. The effects are going to be felt for a long time to come.
Nolo, sorry for the loss of your people.
It’s really hurting to lose a person.
I have lost my mother to COVID19, She did have some underlying health issues as most older people do but should have been around a little longer and I feel it was COVID that bought on her early demise. Everything isnt really an issue for me – I have my better half and our kids and if anything it us made me realise how lucky I am.
gwhite, Sorry for the loss of your mother.
Thanks Jackso – tough times but in the end they make us stronger!!
Covid 19 has affected my life,in the following ways
At my work in a hotel where our visitors were over 90 percent ,we have taken 8 months without receiving a foreign visitor in our rooms.
I couldn’t go for salary increase, since some of our fellow employees lost jobs due to Corona.
Leaving in constant fear in case am terminated.
Many dependants at home increased ,one of my brother was a teacher in private school .
Not moving after 7 am was a major challenge.
All means of transport were closed ,my dad was sick imagine traveling 20 km on foot.
Borembero, sorry for that situation, it was really bad. I also affected the same way!
Hi .. Borembero, sorry for that . Everything will be fine soon .
COVID has really only created more work for me as I am in an area that helps a large number of people apply for government stimulus packages to ensure they qualify and they do everything correctly.
The other thing has been the movement issues and then being suspicious of everyone.
My monthly salary reduced by 10%. My yearly increment which was due on May was deferred. Most probably no increments for few years . My company company running with 60% capacity.
Covid19 has terribly affected my life.
Been unable to go out for several weeks was the most unbelievable thing for me. I lost my job, Best friends, neighbors, etc.
I couldn’t go anywhere.
I period of lock down will remind unforgettable for me
Hi Jaenkomaro, it was really a very terrible experience that people went and still things are not yet ok.
This pandemic has negatively affected me. I was broke, I couldn’t afford to eat, I WAs in my House as in jail.the worse thing is I lost my job and most of my friends.
I was stressed every time I saw people carryng death body at the cemetery.
As a football lover, I was not able view matches during the lockdown and my plans were thwarted. And also as a devout Catholic I was not able to attend Mass
It deeply affected me. I don’t used to stay at home all the day .staying at home from morning to evening during 3 months was a nightmare, stressful and boring. Watching TV by Force was my main activity;then eating and, liying .
All the family were scared. I lost many friends, family members and finally my job.
Now I’m jobless,I have to find another job as soon as possible to take care of myself and my family.
It is difficult for me to find a job during this pandemic. Covid 19 is hurting everyone around the world.
Adharad. True jobs have suffered too much. Everybody is really affected in one way or another.
Sorry kenneth for missing your salary, many people are in the same situation like you. But there’s always light at the end of the tunnel.
Hi, Kenneth.
I am sorry to hear that from you. Have you found another job by now?
The pandemic has affected me in so many ways, things that I planned to achieved this year I couldn’t achieve it,
I can see your frustrations kenneth, like you many people’s plans and programs were totally disrupted. I for one lost my business, it was wiped off, that’s why I had to seek for employment again. I never thought I would be employed by others again.
It gave me lot of stress, headache and many pains.immagine hearing every morning that thousand if people died in this country. It was a painful situation that i will never forget.
Yes it has affected me positively and negatively, what is important now is to move forward and try to Focus on new year’s resolution.
You are right Leno, this pandemic brought mixed results to all groups of people.
I agree, Jackson and Leno.
We must focus on resolutions in the next year.
We have to work really hard this year
I’m even giving up doing some of the things that are not priorities in my life and dedicating more time to working with luckscout club. Isn’t it wise Ad & Leno? I guess it’s the way to go.
Hey, Jackson.
Sometimes we have to choose in our life.
I think your choice is very right.
Just like me, I reduce my activities which I think are less useful to be more active in this club.
I believe this club is able to generate a lot of money for my life
I have come to the conclusion that it’s the right thing to do now Ad.
From now on we have to be more active in this club and collect lots of points, Jackson.
In order to get a lot of money
Yes Mr Jackson, that is very good, we have to give up doing things that are not necessary.i personaly want to dedicate much time in this club.
Thank you Leno, that’s very right. Many times we killing time in non essential things that are not in any way beneficial, leaving little time for developmental projects. There is a to rethink and re-alocate our time properly
It seems that COVID is not disappearing very fast and the rate of infection around the globe is increasing and the infection rate is not reliant on the temperature as the infection rate here in Australia in some states is increasing and it is nearly the middle of summer. There are clusters popping up all over Sydney at present and the rate of infection in the US and Europe is out of control as ell.
It’s so scaring Edward, what about vaccination, has it had any impact in your country Edward? Or has it begun?
Maybe our scientists are missing some link in this pandemic. Why are all the measures and SOPS not helping in curbing the spread? Probably they need to go back on drawing board and re-investigate this? What do you think Edward?
Kenneth, many people have lost their jobs and others their businesses, your such a lucky guy that you were not affected.
It is a little bit difficult to understand, Mr Kenneth. The outbreak of corona virus has affected people In different ways.some in positive way and others in the negative way. You must be in one side. For example, i have lost my job at the beginning of the pandemic it has affected my financial situation, the way I used to spend money and so on.
As a ritired person covid has not affected me so much. I live alone with my dog, but I miss of course the possibility to visit family and friends without restrictions. It is the same thing with cultural events and for the moment Norway have a complete lock down.
True Leno, I know everyone was affected by Covid19 in one way or another. Very right.
