⛔️If You Cannot Be Paid Through PayPal…

1. The LuckScout Club no longer accepts members who cannot be paid through PayPal. Please DO NOT send any payments if you are among these members.

2. Payments of the members who cannot be paid by PayPal are being sent through WU. It takes time to finish all payments. Please be patient and do not follow up. We know who must be paid and we are doing it.

Does it mean that they cannot be member anymore or they can still be a member if they eventually being able to receive money through Paypal?

LuckScout Staff replied 2 months ago

They still can be a member but they cannot get paid, and so they cannot be a paid member.
If one day they can receive money through PayPal, then they can become a paid member again.

I thought Paypal was spread all over the world.  If you don’t wish to have members that cannot use paypal for payments to and from you, it will reduce your membership base.  Is paying or sending money through the netwire to complicated to deal with?

LuckScout Staff replied 2 months ago

No, they are not too many members but the headache they create for our team to receive their money equals all the time we spend for the rest of the members. They follow up all the time to receive their money, while we cannot refer to the bank to wire their money because of the lockdown. Still they email every day and ask for their money and talk in a way as if we don’t want to send their money. We are sending their money through WU but this also takes time and cannot be done in one go. That’s why we decided to get rid of the whole headache. By accepting these members, we just wanted to give them an opportunity to make money on our site. But it seems their opportunity has become a problem for us. Besides, none of them have been able to have a strong contribution as a members of the LuckScout club and for example they have never been able to have a quality post so far. All they want is just earning more points through spammy posts and comments and receiving more money. The LuckScout Club has no place for these kinds of members anymore.

PayPal is not available in some countries in Africa, people living in these countries don’t have any choice. The only option they have is through Bank wire

Ahmad Khasan replied 2 months ago

There is always a solution, Leno. If you think you can, you will find a way. If you think you can’t, you will find an excuse.

Jackson Mugarura replied 2 months ago

Ahmad, what is the solution here now? It’s a decision already taken, not a suggestion! I see no other solution brother. Maybe I’m wrong!?

Ahmad Khasan replied 2 months ago

Hi, Jackson. I see that you are from Uganda, and you can only send money through PayPal. But there is a company called Xoom.com, and I hope you have heard it. Through Xoom, people can send money through Paypal to you.

In this case, if you have a Xoom account, you can negotiate with the Luckscout staff to receive your payment through Xoom. It is possible because people outside Uganda can send money to your Xoom account using PayPal. FYI, Xoom is a service owned by PayPal, so, technically, it is a viable option.

However, it all depends on your communication with the Luckscout staff. It is the most viable solution, technically, for your problem and the problem of other members who cannot receive money through PayPal.

Hi there LuckScout team I think you made a good choice. From the beginning of signing up it was clear that a PayPal account was essential and you helping members that do not have one is very kind of you in the first place and I completely understand your reasons. Apart from payment that is made harder for you guys I get it your explanation to those members concerning quality post makes a lot of sense and we need content that will generate the most possible Google traffic. I am sure it also must be a pain to be asked about payment all the time and I myself have to stand with the LuckScout club with this one you guys are really transparent and trust worthy so there is no need to hound LuckScout for payments it may take some time to be processed but you guys are on top of your game and I do not see why you guys should have this problem and I deem it unfair as there has always been stated that a PayPal account is critical for money transfers and like I said above it was very kind of you to help these members in the first place and instead of appreciation you getting asked daily about money transfers that are very unnecessary.

Thank you Shane 🙂

Jackson Mugarura replied 2 months ago

Shane, I must accept that in every situation there’s always a winner and a loser, but it’s too painful for the loser and very sweet for the winner. I think this would have been handled in another favourable way that doesn’t hurt or exclude any member from benefits of participation on this site. I’m still optimistic that luckscout will reconsider this decision because as humans, I think we deserve a second chance.

Ahmad Khasan replied 2 months ago

Hi, Jackson. I think it will be beneficial for you if you focus on the solution rather than the problem.

The primary reason for this decision is that sending money to members who cannot be paid through PayPal (through bank wire or WU) requires many works and time-consuming. The staff implies that these members can become paid members if they can receive money through PayPal or if the staff can send money to them through PayPal. In my previous comment, I suggest that you use Xoom. It is technically a viable option for the staff to send money to you through PayPal.

In addition to that, these members have to have good communication with the staff regarding this solution since the decision was also caused by the communication issue between them and the staff.

Finally, it all depends on the effort of these members to inform and negotiate with the staff.

Thank you Ahmad.
Yes, it seems we can send money through Xoom.
Thank you for the suggestion.

Ahmad Khasan replied 2 months ago

You are welcome.
I hope it helps and does not add unnecessary burden to you.

Jackson Mugarura replied 1 month ago

Ahmad, thank you very much. I have not heard about Xoom, but let me try to check for it on google play store. Thank you.

The decision is justified. PayPal does have its share of problems even and especially here in the United States. It really is not available all around the world.I think though that LuckScout may come up with a payment processor which will give additional options. And maybe PayPal. we ill have updated and include a lot of countries to its market.
