🐶 Is Dog Meat Eaten in Your Country?
I have heard the story of eating dog meat since my childhood. Many people love to eat pet animals that with raise at home, but eating dogs and cats is another story. I love eating meat from animals like, cows, sheep, chicken goose, fishes but not dogs and cats. Is dog meat also eaten in your country?
Yuk, this is strongly discouraged in this country and can are clearly marked not for human consumption.
The majority of Indonesian are Moslem and we are not eating pork, dog meat, and several other types of meat. However, in other region of Indonesia, there people who eat it. And most of them are not Moslem. Also, there is no legal restriction that prohibit Indonesians to eat meat dog.
It’s like a taboo here in my country Uganda. It’s prohibited and punishable if one is caught doing so.
Many people are started eating dog meat, i remember seeing a post on facebook where a man used to sell dog meat as a skewers by the road side up to people up to 3 years.its was really too sad story,immagine what he caused to those who are Moslem and those who don’t like dog meat.
Human is able to do everything for money.May God protect us from such thing.
Why should someone eat dog meat for sure! We have many delicious meats available for consumption such as goat, sheep, cow and poak. But someone prefers to eat a dog!!?

My country Indonesia consists of various religions and thousands of tribes. The majority are Muslims who forbid eating dog meat. For non-Muslims, there are tribes that forbid eating dog meat, some are not. In a tribe that does not forbid eating dog meat, some families forbid, the others do not. In a family that does not forbid eating dog meat, there are family members who do not want to eat dog meat, while the others like to eat dog meat.
Sounds very complex Muda. Here in the UK dogs are seen as man best friend so society would frown upon people eating dog meat. However it is not illegal to eat dog meat in the UK.
I never dare trying it, there are plenty good meat around to enjoy. Cow, sheep and goats meat are very delicious and enough, you can find their meat at any time and any place.
Gareth — Muda has said it well, and that is the truth. Indonesia consists of thousands tribe where each has its own custom and culture. They have a different opinion about eating dog meat, as well as about other things. That is why our national motto is Bhinneka Tunggal Ika which means Unity in Diversity because we are really a diverse nation.
It’s illegal to eat dog meat in my country and no community in my nation which eat dog.
Here in Nigerian, some tribes eat dog meat. So I can generally say, my country, Nigerian eats dog meat
Yes I dont think there is anything wrong with eating dogs if that is part of your culture and tradition.
It’s not in our culture, eating Dog’s meat is considered as a tabu .there are many others meat that is not eatable in my country,like snakes, dogs, and some birds.
I think I would personally feel more comfortable eating snakes, lizards and insects over eating dogs but that is because I have a pet dog and have an emotional attachment to him.
Some areas in Indonesia eat dog meat. But in here it is still considered unusual.
In my country it has becomes a habit of many people, even though there are lot of bush meat available in the market, they prefer some time dog meat than buying fish, cow meat and cheese meat in the market.

What !? No absolutely not, Its not in anyway normal in my country and I cant think of anyone who would do it. Makes me kinda sick to think about. Would starve rather than eat my little doggie
