🎄Is It Worth to Celebrate Christmas?
Christmas always generate a lot of anxiety and excitement. It leaves many people broke on it’s aftermath because of the involved expenses. However, the just concluded Christmas has not been the usual one. It has not been able to attract to much attention. This could be probably due to the effects of COVID-19 and the lockdown that followed it. This left many people jobless and many more broke, with no money to spend as many jobs were lost. But still, some people enjoyed their time during the same holiday. Some went on shopping sprees, and others headed for their villages for celebrations with their extended families. Generally, the activities we badly affected and many people abandoned all their plans for Christmas. I for one, did not go for it. After all, I always doubt the motive for Christmas. I always doubt if it’s true that it’s when Jesus was born. Do you think it’s worth celebrating Christmas? What is your say on this?
I don’t celebrate Christmas.
But I love Christmas celebrations.
For me, the Christmas celebration brings happiness to everyone, including me.

You are very right Ad, because many people celebrate something, it doesn’t mean that you should also celebrate it. Like I celebrate my birthday and I have no big reason but I don’t follow clouds, I follow my heart.
We all celebrate christmas of different reasons. Some of us celebrate it because of the birth of christ. This is the main perpose with christmas. Athor people use christmas season to celebrate together with family and friends. The children often think most of the gifts they gets on christmas eve.
I have almost the same reasons like you Steinar for celebrating Christmas, but I think those that don’t celebrate it also have their reasons too. Maybe they don’t believe in the birth of Jesus.
As a Christian, it is worth to celebrate Christmas. It is one of the most important party of Christian .

Christmas worth more than the slated time of its celebration . It suppose to be given more than a month holidays for it.

It’s all about family reunions, mass church attendance, cooking and eating together all sorts of dishes with extended families. All these are usually done in the villages Ad, because many people living in towns travel to the villages.

Ad, this Christmas was a different one, we didn’t travel to the villages and infact very many people didn’t go to village. They wanted to minimize the spread of Covid19. This time it’s wasn’t celebrated the usual way Ad due to Covid19 disruptions.
I feel that the celebration of Christmas is something meaningful to different people.There are those who see it as a pagan holiday, while others who are non Christians have their own view. Over the years there have been attempts to try to stop people from celebrating it just because they feel contempt for the holiday.Reasonable people know that you just cannot make a person stop that celebration just because you don’t believe in it.I myself agree that it is unfair to do so.Christmas will be here as long as the world continues to turn.

Ad, I had a hard time with my kids, for them they didn’t know anything. They kept asking me why we have not gone village as usual. They wanted to go to the village. However, we still enjoyed alone in the city. The feeling was there of Ad..😀

It is worth to celebrate Christmas in a normal year. With covid in the society it is not worth it. We have to stay home.

Yes Leno, many people celebrate new year and many other important days in their lives. It has no impact on the ones that do not do so. It’s a personal choice. They like it, they do it.
