Is the Pit-Bull Dog Breed Really a Danger to Own?
The Pit-bull dog breed has gotten a very bad wrap over the last few years and considered a very dangerous and violent dog breed but I don’t think that is very true. I have owned a pure bred Pit-bull and she had the most kindest of nature. She loved children and spending time with the family and many visitors and never had anyone gotten harmed.
Another friend of mine had rescued a Pit-bull from a snare on a farm and took the dog to the vet and decided to keep him. That dog was the friendliest dog I have ever spent time with not even from the day I walked into my friends yard as a stranger to the dog did that dog once even attempt to show any aggression towards me.
So I feel that even though Pit-bulls may look intimidating they are like all other dog breeds and not a threat to own or to live with.
What is your opinion on this is a Pit-bull dog really a danger to own or to have around others?
I believe that dogs don’t react the same to different persons. They may appear kind and friendly to one person and suddenly get aggressive at the mere sight of another person. The situation can really get out of hand when dealing with vicious breeds like the pit-bull. Newspapers report many terrible stories about these vicious dogs all the time. Yes, the pit-bull is a dangerous dog to own.
Yes you make a valid point but don’t you think that Pit-bulls have gotten an exceptionally bad wrap and that the situation is not as dangerous as led to believe?
I think Dog behaves base on the breeding or training from infancy.
No the breed isn’t any more dangerous than any other breed. They are loving and devoted dogs. The problem is the people who own them and train them to be overly aggressive or fight other dogs.
Dogs behavior in general depends on the person Who is in front of him and the training it got from its owner. They can be dangerous sometimes if they don’t feel comfortable by the presence of someone but most of the time they are nice and kind.
Statistically, they have killed more people than any other dog. I feel they need more attention and training to avoid deaths caused by those dog breeds
