It Seems America Has Really Lost the COVID-19 Battle

It appears that COVID in the US is getting worse and it appears that it may not get better any time soon especially with Donald Trump in the White House as he seems to care more about his position as President than he does about the American people.

According to the CDC in America since January 21 this year there have been 12,028,081 cases reported with a total of 255,076 deaths from the virus. The CDC have forecast that the situation will only get worse in the coming weeks.

There are reports that morgues in Texas are now overflowing and the National Guard has been called in and so has the freezer trucks to store the bodies.
Obviously the Trumps don’t really care as Donald Trump Junior has contracted the virus as well as Rudi Giuliani’s son so what hope has the rest of America got?
So while the bodies are piling up Mr Trump Senior is still carrying on about how he was robbed in the election and how he won.
Gee Mr President it is no wonder you lost the election for the arrogant way you have handled the COVID-19 pandemic in your country. You probably think that the poor people that have died all around the country are losers and not worth your time. Shame on you Mr. President.
What do you think the “President” should do?

True Edward, the war was lost due to the arrogance of the fountain of honour ie the head of state. The moment Mr Trump refused to adhere to the standard procedures and only did politics, the battle against the pandemic was lost there and then. He failed to judge that his actions and words influence the behavior petterns of the people that he is leading, which should have played an important role in fighting this pandemic. Instead he has spent a lot of his time politicking and this will cost many lives and resources.

Hi Edward it is so sad to see that people that are supposed to look after a country and the citizens fail to adhere to their important role in our world.
However I feel the battle against Covid-19 is far from over and this virus is ever persistent and is not going to just go away we as humans are going to have to learn how to live with this virus and manage our lives around this pandemic. I also feel that government can and should do more to offer support and relief from this pandemic until an effective and tested cure is found.
However the situation in South Africa is much the same the president and or government in my opinion can do much more and the amount of corruption in South Africa has depleted these relief plans and or recourses they had even faster.
The amount of Covid-19 cases however is not spiraling out of control as of yet and I do not want to know how the South African health care services will be able to manage this pandemic if it becomes more serious than what it already is. As it is the health care system is already overwhelmed.
I am not so sure we can really blame a countries president I myself can not judge as I am not in their positions and I myself don’t even really know what to make of this pandemic so how will they be able to?
I feel it is just a matter of circumstances that eventually affect the end result and overall outcome of this pandemic and our governments react differently to the managing of this pandemic whether we perceive it correctly or incorrectly.

US have never lost it with COVID-19 and will never do, If America lost the war of COVID-19, then the whole world have lost it. What I can say is that COVID-19 case is been sabotage by the Americans.

Unfortunately Mr Trump played the wrong game and tried to shrug the COVID19 pandemic off, didnt prepare and then when it started to hit it was only ever going to go one way. Gift horse for Biden! Especially just as he will become president the vaccines will start rolling out!

I don’t believe Donald Trump should alone carry the blame of refusing to concede defeat and handing over power to the new administration. The Republicans are also to blame because they failed to tell Trump to relinquish power. He represents the Republicans and they should tell him to go.
The war against Covid-19 is not over and what is needed is a swift transfer of power for the big rollout of the vaccines to begin. Once Trump is out of the way, the Americans will start pulling together and things will be back on track.

Yes, the US seems to lose the battle a lot. However, COVID-19 pandemic is also getting worse in every part of the world. In my university, three staffs died this week and two staffs last week, due to COVID-19. It happened after people think that COVID-19 has gone and the activities seem to back to normal.

Currently, my university imposed a work from home order until the end of November for all staff. But it is not a certain date, since the campus administration is likely to prolong the order if the situation is not getting better.

Also, the psychology of mass public worsens the situation. The majority of people seems to do not care anymore on COVID-19 and do not practice the safety measures. The official case number reflects this situation perfectly. The daily new case rate is not showing any decreasing trend.

The battle of COVID-19 is not over, not only for the US but also for all of us. Be safe, everyone.

The US is losing a lot of people to COVID. I think I heard tonight on the news that Los Angeles has placed a call to Australia for nurses as theirs are tired and not able to cope with the increased cases. They are also building field hospitals across the country to handle the increase.
It will need a very strong leader to bring the Nation together and defeat this virus.
