👿Racism, Is It on the Upward Trend?
During the current times, it has become common in our daily lives to hear someone making racist comments. You hear people calling others names because of their skin colour, and their origin. This is so common these days all over the world. Just recently, a football game was postponed after playing 14 minutes, when a fourth official who is white had confrontation with a club official who happens to be black. It was indeed a shame that such a thing could happen at such a high level! It looks like racism is taking a deep root in our communities to such an extent. So, one wonders what needs to be done to tackle this issue if the people supposed to take responsibility are ones doing it now 😡.
Do you think racism is on the upward trend? What’s your point of view?
I also think it depends what country you are in as to the level of racism that goes on. Its undeniable that it unfortunately happens all around the world but it certainly seems worse in some countries. If it is on the irse I am not sure. Are we hearing about it more then probably yes as people are speaking up and making others aware of it.
The trends are different from country to another, in some countries we can assist this discrimination all along the day, and in some countries people a likely to stop this behavior. In my country for example there is not such situation. People are treated equally regardless their religion belief, color of skin, and everything that goes with racism.
It may be on the rise in some countries but not in every country. I rarely hear news about racism in Indonesia. Our people consists of many tribe and culture, and we have lived with each other very well. I think the racism seems to be rising because it happened on a top-level football game where many people and media pay attention to.
I think rasism has been present in the world as long as I can remember. It is a terrible thing and politicians, governments and everyday people should do more to wipe it out in all countries.
I have also read about the football match that was postponed after 14 minutes of playing because of rasistic comments from one of the referees. This is only one example of an insident that should not happen during a football match or in other daily situations.
Is it is happening everywhere across the world and this discrimination must be banish completely.
I think racism is very popular these days. Even racism causes bullying and even terrible to children.
People have to understand that we are all equal and the same regardless our religion belief, color of skin, our tradition costume, origin etc. God made this difference in color of the skin for the beauty ; immagine if we were all black, or white,
Hi Leno, I agree with your opinion. Indeed racism or bullying is wrong. We should not distinguish how our skin color, religion and others. Let us spread love to others.

It is very true that racism should not continue to develop. We have to educate us that racism is a bad thing.
Very true adharad. It’s really hurting and embarrassing to see beg men crying on the football pitch. I mean these footballers who are abused during football games ie in Italy, Spain, France, Germany, England, to name but a few. These are men with families behind them and dehumanizing them really affects them and their families. Something big has to be done, other than just condermning the act.

The anti racism message is being highlighted by sports people around the world. For those that watch cricket at the start of every Big Bash League game here the players take a knee which I think was started by those in the NFL in America.
Racism was highlighted a lot more in the Black Lives Matter protests around the world in the last 12 months.
Education is the key and that we are all equal.

adharad. Not yet, probably because I have not travelled much in foreign countries. But I usually watch these acts especially during football games across the globe.
I hope many people are aware of the importance of the dangers of racism.
adharad. Yes, many people are aware of the danger associated with racism, but this is an act of just a few individuals who are ignorant and stupid. It’s not a big community, but just a small section of people.

We need a big educative campaign to fight the racism pandemic before it gets too late.
