💼Setting up a Business in Your Country
If I was to try and set up a business in your country what are the types of business structures that I would be able to use? In Australia we have sole traders, partnerships, what we call private companies and also public companies. It would be really interesting to determine what the different structures are in existence around the world.
I can see what’s required to set up a business here is no different from your country, Australia. The procedures are all the same.
Hi, Edward. Are you planning to open business overseas?
In Indonesia, the company structure is almost similar to what you mentioned.
There are at least four types of company structure that I know. (1) Usaha Dagang (UD) it might be similar to what you called as a sole trader. Persekutuan Komanditer (CV) is a form of the company where there two sides in the organization, the active and passive partner, it may represent the partnership that you have stated. (3) Perseroan Terbatas (PT) is a private company similar to a limited liability company. (4) Public Companies, the structure is PT, but its shares are listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange and publicly traded.
Ahmed. I can see there business structures are almost similar in many countries. It’s similar to my country Uganda.
It is really regorious process starting a worthwhile business in Nigeria. You will have to register with the CAC and the TIN. It is really troublesome starting up a business.
Most English speaking countries ,use the same business structure formation.Thats why Australia and Uganda is almost similar,as we are all guided by British law system.
Is good for one to set up business in his / her country than in another country
What I know in Indonesia is also like in your country. I have a dream to build a big business that can forge partnerships and recruit unemployed people in my country. I am happy to give them job opportunities. Any suggestions for me to do business that is suitable for me to do?
Jackson — Yes, it seems that the corporate structure is similar in many countries.
Eli — Yes, I agree with you. Maybe it is because we adopt a similar economic system.
Kenneth — Why? Why is opening a business in the home country better than aboard?
Ad — Start with building something that proven to create value. You can grow it over time when your business reaches a level that is big enough.
