Upcoming Us Elections Set to See the Highest Voter Turn in a Century?
As United States prepare to choose the next president, it’s predicted that this time around could see the highest voter turnout in a century. Already 81 million people have so far voted mostly by postal mail. In most previous elections we have not seen high voter turnout, maybe because there was no motivation to do so. What could be the major motivation for this higher voter turnout?
There is a pot of 150m in total that can vote so still can go either way. Its certainly going to set some records!! If its a close call will there be a recount?
High vote turn is due to the influence of Corona virus,it has forced many people to be in their homes full time and have time to vote .
Also Trump is like a comedian,this too motivates many people to vote.
A high turnout is very much welcome. It is an indication that people have confidence in their ability to effect change and to see that change does take place.
It could be that some citizens are don’t want Trump to win the election.
Yes Yes,, the most divisive leader of all time we have seen.
That is a very interesting stat. The high voter turnout could be a reflection of the trouble that plagued America earlier in the year after the cases of police brutality and the riots that followed. Some could see that Trump is doing a good job and would like to see him in there for another term. Others could see Trump as a clown as Eli puts it and would like to Biden win.
It makes it very difficult to know for sure when I am not an American and I am not in country experiencing everything that is going on.
