😕 Were You Ever Bullied at School or Work?
Miriam Webster defines a bully as: One who is habitually cruel, insulting, or threatening to others who are weaker, smaller or in some way vulnerable.
I came across a story about a 9 year old Australian boy, Quaden Bayles, who appeared in a video clip that went viral earlier this year. In the clip the boy is seen crying and saying, “I just want to die right now” , after being teased and bullied at school.
This drew a lot of outrage from a shocked world audience. The poor boy received a lot of support from people who were touched by his sad story.
Studies have shown that bullying does not end at school but continue to be experienced by many people at their places of employment.
Have you ever been bullied?
Cant say I ever knowingly been bullied at School or work.
bullied in school about my nose size
It happened to me in school but at work, I don’t remember encountering any bullies.
It happened to me in my early school days. I have had a great working period for more than 45 years.
Nope. I have no experience both in school or work that can be grouped under “getting bullied”. I am grateful for that.
I don’t recall the story that is quoted but there have been a couple of kids in recent years that have been bullied and have dished some hefty payback on the perpetrators.
I wasn’t bullied as such but I was teased about different things mainly my haircut and in my later school life about my uniform. My parents were very traditional and insisted on a certain style of haircut and most of my peers had the style of the time and as I was different I copped a little bit from them and a teacher as well.
I have experienced it when I was at school, it was a long story that i don’t want recall. But after school I’m great to not experience it for the second time.
Sad to hear members were bullied but grateful you all got through it!! Onwards and upwards
After joining my secondary school in early 1990 ,it was order for new comers to be bullied,as it was a boarding boys school only.beating was often common ,washing clothes for old students and learning how to con girls .To some extent it was good as it prepared new students to learn how to survive and socialize with students
I joined senor one in 1999 and that was the peak of bullying, because in the preceding years, the education ministry condemned teasing and bullying. The years that followed saw the eradication of teasing and bullying but for me I faced the worst. I even slept outside the dormitory sometimes in order to eascpe the vice.
I was bullied uncomfortable times especially during when my parents changed school for me. At work, I was cheated, but, not bullied.
