Globalization means the removal of national, cultural, and geographical boundaries in human civilization. The simplest example is in the food we eat. Currently, most people have food which are not locally grown, at least for the large percentage of total food consumed. In Indonesia, for example, we cannot grow wheat, so we import it from the US, Canada, and Australia. It means that Indonesian customers consume the soil, water, air, and fire (sunlight) of these countries. Believe it or not, it changes the personal perception of Indonesians to their country and the countries from which their food were imported. After all, we are what we eat.

The biggest issue of globailsation always has to be climate change, the using up of finite resources and creation of co2 and global warming. The upside of that if you’re a trader is that oil prices will continue to rise

Globalization has been very beneficial to us and still is because through it there is improved transportation and communication systems in our world today. Amidst all the benefits, it has caused increased pollution in our world which have resulted in climate change.

I agree with everything that has been posted above and each country in the world will lose it’s identity and sovereignty.
Is this a good thing?

Globalization has transformed the modern world. It shapes and will continue to shape the way people do business, travel, and connect. But it also comes with economic and cultural consequences that can be difficult to handle.this include immigration, decline in a job opportunities as companies move their production overseas, international recruiting accros borders creates unknowns for HR teams; it also creates though competition that leads some companies to search for cheap labor sources.
Multinational corporations also face The challenge of contending with different laws in different countries. We have uncountable problems created by the globalization. In the other hand it’s clear that globalization provides an abundance of benefits worldwide.

One of the challenges of globalisation is immigration .most countries impose restrictions to move in their countries.currently it has been difficult to get travel visas for most advanced countries like USA,Germany,Japan and others. This creates nepotism, tribalism, with regard to race. This affects transport and travel services .

For me, the biggest challenge is communicating using English. It is undeniable that globalization encourages communication skills in English. My biggest difficulty is in that. I am still learning how to use good English so I can communicate well. One way to join this club.

Edward — No, losing cultural identity and sovereignty is the negative effect of globalization. I think we can enjoy globalization while at the same time retaining our cultural and ideological differences.
