We only had our two in the bed the few nights and then on the occasions when they had nightmares. Some people I guess don’t have the option and are limited with space.

If it’s still too young, I have no issue we can create a space for the child in our bed, so that it becomes easy to access the mother’s breast at night. But as the child grows, it’s not a good idea to sleep with a child in the same bed.

According to the pediatricians, the best place for babies to sleep is in the parents’ bedroom,, they should sleep in their own crib, or bassinet. Also having the baby sleep nearby helps with breast feeding.
Babies in the same bed can be accidentally suffocated by a blanket, pillow etc.. But there are some alternative for mothers who are breast feeding.

No never encouraged it as I am sure it would heighten the risk of being rolled on.
