Africa are used to hardship, therefore, their immunity are strongly built to fight minor viral ailments such as covid. They also mostly consume natural and organic foods and medicine that are good for the body.

It is killing people everywhere including Africa. However, in Africa they don’t test people and there is no stats and track of the virus spread among people. COVID-19 test is expensive and many countries cannot afford it. Therefore, people die while nobody knows it was because of the COVID-19 virus.

Hi Vahid, yes, It could be a true fact that, it’s spread in Africa is slow, to the surprise of many. When you look at the death rate, it confims this fact. Maybe, I can be proved wrong. Here where I’m leaving in the surbabs of this city, no single case has ever been reported since the outbreak despite samples being collected on my occasions. However, it’s no cause to celebrate, the course of events may change anytime.

Africa  continent has recorded few Corona virus cases due to a number of reasons,
Most part of Africa is within the tropics where temperature is more than 20 degrees and Corona virus becomes strong within cold temperatures.
Most African population is rural based and the rate of spread reduces as it makes easy for social distancing.
No reliable data , people may be dying but no accurate information.
God’s luck, since we are poor some person might have intervened for Africa.
Poor people are easy to manage when it comes to movement restrictions.see how Americans have been demonstrating during Corona virus,if it was in Africa ,the president would authorize the army, police to fire live bullets

I think this article on BBC mentions good reasons why COVID-19 has been less severe in Africa than elsewhere. In summary, they are five reasons why Africa experience less damage from the pandemic.

First, they take quick actions to prevent the spreading of the virus. Second, the public support in term of people adherence to the preventive measures are highest in Africa than elsewhere. Third, the population is young as I have been discussed here and few old-age homes. Fourth, Africa has favorable climate in preventing the spread of the virus. And last, instead on relying too much on public and private health systems, the community health systems in Africa provide essential support to fight the pandemic.

The lessons learned during the Ebola outbreak helped a lot in lowering the infection rate in Africa.
The poor transport system in most parts of the continent ensured slow and low transmission – the virus is transported by people.
The climatic conditions are another contributing factor.
The mostly young population – about 70% under the age of 35 (2015 UN stats).

Because according to scientists ,COVID-19 virus does not last more than 4 minutes in a surface that is exposed to heat.

The climate has play an important role in corona slow spread in Africa. In addition to that, the population of Africa is not aged as Europe, American, or some western countries.

The spread of COVID-19 is slow in Africa because of the weather conditions. If COVID-19 hit Europeans during summer time, the casualty would have been minimal.

Some possible reasons why Africa is not so badly hit by covid 19. This continent is not so densely populated making it difficult to spread covid 19 quickly yet this continent is not the main target of Chinese communists in their biological weapons. The next reason is that every government and its people take precautionary measures from the beginning well and do not forget to say that God’s protection to the people of this continent.

There is no wide spread testing happening in Africa hence why the stats look favourable. Plus population wise the majority are very young due to lack of contraception and the fact the older generation die earlier. The average age for dying in Africa is 62-65 compared to 79-83 in the UK

One of the reason was that many African countries like Madagascar have been praised for waging an effective campaign to combat the spread of covid19 despite their reputation for having Fragile state health system. Young population and few old-age homes played also an important role in addition to the favorable climate.

May be the scientists should be looking into the possibility of the heat playing a bigger part in reducing the spread. Does it actually affect the virus? should have vaccine therefore have thermogenic properties? All possibilities

Low levels of testing could be the reason, because Africans being naturally resistant,  its possible that many people get infected and naturally heal without knowing.

The South African continent has one of the hottest climates and I don’t think that the covid-19 virus can survive in hot climates as long.

In Indonesia, covid cases are increasing. I think it’s because people here ignore health protocols. The government also tends to be lacking in restricting the movement of people which causes Covid-19 to spread quickly.

Reason is because, here in Nigerian people involved them selves in dirty things

Hi, Kenneth.

What do you mean by dirty things? And, why do dirty things slow-down the spread of COVID-19?
