Which Way Is American Democracy Headed For?
Is things stand, the US elections seem to be turning into a very contentious issue Mr. Trump’s team seem to have started resorting to the legal option as means to ensure that Mr. Trump remain in office. They have already been lodging unsuccessful lawsuits in some states such as Pennsylvania, Michigan, etc. in order to stop vote counting. And it’s romoured that, should Mr. Trump lose the elections, a bigger legal battle will ensue as another option to retain his office. Where does this leave the American Democracy?
I think something horrible is happening. The democratic party made such a dirty trick. I am not crazy for Trump or Biden, but it seems democratic party is so dirty. They will mess up the whole country…
I think the American democracy will survive. It looks like a majority of the stated confirms the result of the election and it shows that 279 of the persons in the United States Electoral College will vote for Joe Biden to be the next President of the United States. It is also Rebublican members that confirms the result of the election.
Steinar, the impasse caused by Trump’s refusal to conceed defeat have shaken the biggest democracy in the world. But now, it looks like this will come to pass.
Trumps want to change the way we use to see America democracy. Although it has been confirmed by many states that he lost the election, he is not ready to cede easily. It is really a scheme for a country like USA to be in such situation.
Trump has shown that there is still a big divide over what the countries voters want and it should hopefully wake them all up to take these things seriously.
White, I think Trump wants to do the impossible. He seems to be a man whose mindset can not accept less than what he thinks he should get. But I think that’s not how politics of America work, he has broken so many norms and ethics as a president. I think he’s not pro people because he doesn’t compromise. Yes he got 70 million votes, but what does he think of 80 million Americans who voted against him? That’s how democracy works. Even if the winner has a margin of 50 votes, he’s a winner. He has devided America so much. There’s already section of Americans who are thinking that Trump should never be allowed to hold office again. That he should be censored.
I do not see anything wrong when someone is determined to unveil hidden truth about the election.
The trouble with Trump at the moment is that he does not have any proof of impropriety in the election. He has too many cases thrown out of court.
Trumps legal options are almost finished now and the American system should be able to remove him from office. He has caused enough damage already.
Keneth; what is hidden? It’s coming to a month and a half since the US elections and evidence of fraud has been tendered in courts. Even the US attorney general Mr William Bar who a big confidant of Trump has agreed that no evidence of fraud has been found.
It is difficult to say after the last days events and the attack on the congress building which way the American democracy are heading for. I hope things will calm down when Biden is starting his effords to unite the american society. If Trump continues his talk about a stolen election things can be worse and the politicians, parties and people can be more devided.
I think this last election has left America more devided than ever before. It leaves a big task for the incoming president to rebuilt and unite the Americans.

Joe Biden finally officially announced as the 46th president of the United States. We will see another 4 years of Democrat ruling the US. There will be no protectionism anymore. I think that the Biden era will reflect those of Obama’s.

All I can say is if you saw those terrible images of that attempted coup t ppl right here in these United States it should really make us all stay awake.I have been living in this country all my life.Never did I imagine that this would ever happen. You are hearing every say that those terrorists are being found and arrested. They may be charged with sedition. Top many people believe and agree that this definitely has gone too far.I must say so myself. There is no way Trump will heal this damage he encouraged these terrorists to do.I personally do not believe that any politician is an angel but I must state after what happened last week this definitely is an example of the devil at work and if you are Christian you will agree.
