Why Do Many People Tell Lies?
Since the beginning of the world, there are many people across the world who lie. Sometimes politicians, Ministers, thieves, famous person, parents,…
Honestly i don’t believe that there is one person in earth who has never tell lies.
Why is the reason behind this attitude even though it is totally forbidden in every Societies?
Most people tell lies because it has become a culture Right from political leaders, religious leaders and even rich people.lies have made many people to succeed others also want to follow.
Telling lies is a habit and once a person develops it, like any other habit, it will follow them everywhere they go. Habits die hard.
Sometimes its because people think its what people want to hear or they are embarrassed to tell the truth.
I am not sure that telling lies is forbidden. Sometimes people tell lies because it is sometimes easier than telling the truth and it may be more palatable.
Of course sometime we tell lie because it is the only good solution, people tell lies frequenfly to get What they want,it can be money, freedom, peace, comfort, etc….
I’m not sure if there is a Man who has never lies.
It’s actually hard to define why people lie there are so many possible reasons why. Who hasn’t told a little white lie to protect someone’s feelings or to get out of a get meeting(casual or business meetings). For some people it’s an illness commonly known as a compulsive liar for others it could be to fit in with people and other simply lie for their own personal gain or to hide things they would rather not have known.
So my conclusion is that it’s almost impossible to tell what makes people lie I guess it depends on the person and their reasoning for telling that lie.
In other words, I may tell a lie in order to get off the hook. I think some people will when on the wall knowing that, the only way to get off is to lie.
Other people tell lies in order to survive the existing confirmation.eg politicians always tell lies as away of survival.You cannot talk truth in Uganda and be elected.psychologically even voters mind prefer lies.
People lie all the time to save their skins, to avoid hurting other people, to elicit favors and sympathy, or to deceive. The list is endless.
People are lying because they don’t brave enough to face the truth. They think that they are protecting someone or something with their lies. But, in reality, they are only protecting themselves. They are protecting themselves from their fear.
There are those who tell lies to get out of trouble, avoid the outcome of the truth, to protect themselves,the Fear. Some truth are not good to say,because it can cause lot of damage, sometimes lives,in this kind of situation people prefer to tell lies.
There are some situations, if you tell the truth you will put fire and exagerate the problem,in that kind of situation, wise people prefer to tell the lie. In French there is a statement that say that some truth are not good to say.
I used to lies to my parents because of fear.fear pushed many people to lies even though the know the truth. It can become a bad attitude if you keep telling the lies,finally it can become your true character that will be difficult to abandon.
I think lying is a habit with everyone. They purposely cover up what he wants to hide from others. It may also be that they have goals that many people don’t want to know about. I think lying is not just for bad purposes but can be for good things. For example, you are forced to lie to save your friend from someone else’s crime or something.
adharad, I think when it comes to Politicians, the intention is different from local civilians?
They tell lies to hide something they don’t want to disclose or share with others. It can be the truth that can put them into trouble , a secret .
In the fact it is part of our life and it is a habit for most people.
I think people sometimes tell lies to cover up a situation that could get them into trouble. Sometimes lies are told because people want to impress other people or their family and friends.
Speaking of politicians, they lie for a purpose in themselves. They are more concerned with themselves. I thought it was a negative and detrimental lie to Jackson

I think the lie is acceptable to me, Steinar. I can accept lies when he is positive and impresses others
They tell lies to satisfy their ego. They want to gain from others with falsehood.
