Why Does Your Nose Run and Your Feet Smell?

Time to lighten the mood and make sure that learning remains fun!! I have just suddenly been reminded of this question that came up when my 2 children were at school. Its a really good question that their teacher got them to think about – it made them giggle and I can remember them asking everyone they came into contact with. Being an English phrase it will be interesting to see if this saying is lost in translation. So who really knows what makes your nose run and your feet smell?

On a second thought, a running nose and a smelling foot are caused by bacteria

I used to use the question of “why” to stimulate my child’s way of thinking. As I observe, asking the question of “why” helps my son expand his thought and imagine something beyond what he observes. Furthermore, the “why” question forces us further to use our imagination and question our day-to-day-take-for-granted.

And your question stimulates my imagination further. First, in a normal situation, I used to ask my ask, why the nose smell and the feet run? Maybe I should ask my son further into why the nose must smell and not run? And why must the feet run and not smell?

Inverting the obvious questions stretches out my imagination. Great questions, gwhite!

The nose will be performing it’s function of removing unwanted products in the head while the feet smells due to closure of your feet by shoes or boots,which do not allow fresh air to enter due to imbalance in excretion of the skin.

The nose running is it removing mucus from the lungs which is normal and smelly feet is definitely bacteria.

I think they are both caused by an infection. Running nose mean you have flu which is caused a virus that attacks the nose. Then, the smelly foot is caused by bacteria due to poor hygiene.

If your Nose is running, there are several possible explanation. As I said above it can be a result of a Cold or the flu ;
You have allergies ( kids who are Allergies get running nose when they are around the things they are allergic to like pollen or animal hair,.
You are crying :when you cry, tears come out of the tear glands under your eyelids. Tears mix with mucus there and your nose runs.
T
Your nose can run when It is Cold outside .
Normaly your feet smell if you don’t take care of them.

Both nose and feet are performing their biological functions. Actually the smelling feet and running nose are both caused by bacterial infections.

I am the one who experienced it. What’s more, the hot weather, the nose becomes runny and oily. When it rains or comes into contact with water, the soles of my feet stink. Do you know the cause and how to solve it?

I am still confused about this question. Does this question only a proverb or has actual meaning? Please explain, Gareth. ๐Ÿ˜€
