Why Has The Market Slowed?

I have been looking at my charts today and all the major pairs have appeared to be going into a range state and not producing ay trends on the daily chart. Has everyone that is trading noticed this as well? Does anyone know if this is tied in with the US election or is it COVID related? Or is it just a cycle and we need to stay vigilant for a bounce one way or another?

Market is always moving somewhere but its just the uncertainty of everything at the moment that means trends are upset so it appears as if its slowed. Everyone thought it was temporary but now its dragged on.

We do get market sluggishness from time to time. This can be due to a number of factors like the ones mentioned or just normal market pressures.

What market, specifically, are you referring Edward? The currencies, stocks, or the commodities market?

Most of the time if the trend is in range the market is slow and go up and down. In this such a situation you have to stop trading and wait until it shows you a clear direction.
